Mallika Garg
Mallika Garg is a budding economist with research interests in wide ranging areas such as Industrial Organisation, International Economics and Finance. She has completed her Masters in Economics from Jamia Millia Islamia, and is in the process of completing her Masters in Financial Analysis from ICFAI University. Apart from this, she also holds certification from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on the Financial Markets, Securities Markets, and Mutual Funds.
As a Research Assistant at ICRIER, Mallika has worked on a host of diversified areas such as Banking Sector, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Sector, Poverty, Financial Sector, and Water. However, over the period of time, she has truly developed a strong inclination towards the SME sector and the dynamics operating within that sector.
Apart from being an Economist at heart, Mallika is also creatively inclined. She has a formal training in Sitar from Dr. Ravi Sharma, and in Hindustani Vocal Music from mother Vidushi Uma Garg. She also undertook a theatre course at National School of Drama and learnt Kathak at Kathak Kendra from Smt. Bhashwati Sen.
